General FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What does fee-for-service financial planning cost, and what's included?

Our plans are flat-fee and transparent, with individual, household, and corporate options depending on your needs. Every plan covers cash flow, tax, investment, insurance, and estate planning, plus three months of post-delivery support to answer questions.

  • 2. I'm not in Calgary — can you still work with clients in Ontario, BC, or Saskatchewan?

Yes. While our office is in Calgary, we work with clients virtually across Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan through video consultations.

  • 3. How is a fee-for-service planner different from an advisor paid by commission?

We're paid directly by our clients for the advice we give, not by commissions from the products we recommend. That means our recommendations are based solely on what's best for you.

  • 4. I'm an incorporated physician or dentist — how does that change my financial plan?

Incorporation changes how you draw income, how much RRSP room you have, and opens up strategies like individual pension plans and corporate investing. We build your plan around your professional corporation, not just your personal finances.

  • 5. How often do we meet after the initial plan is delivered?

Every plan includes three months of post-delivery support, and we recommend an annual review meeting after that to keep your plan up to date as your income, tax situation, and goals change.
